The editor is able to open existing Midi files and modify their content. New files can be created and the user can enter his own composition by either recording Midi data from a connected Midi device (e.g., a digital piano or a keyboard) or by manually creating new notes and other Midi events. The recorded data can be easily quantified and edited afterwards using MidiEditor.

Once you are ready to progress the best option is to move to a DAW of your choice. I personally use Ableton Live which is particularly good for MIDI. But there are loads of others to choose from. My suggestion would be to download a free trial, watch a few how-to videos and see which one you find best.

Make settings as described in the owners manual for your application. You can also record your data using MIDI Clock but it needs to be turned on in the editor. The Project window is divided into two areas. The first is the Main Editor containing the editor itself. The editor can be opened in two ways: by using the mouse double click on the project folder or by pressing the Open button in the project window.

When we start the program, we are presented with a welcome screen that gives us a quick run-down of the instrument. We also get a list of our available instruments. When it comes to MIDI keyboards, you have three main types of controllers available; keyboard, trigger and synth.
When we go into the settings, we get a good look at all the different types of options we have available. We have these for the instrument, as well as for the different pads and controllers, MIDI input and output, as well as MIDI functions like global volume, metronome, user preset, and MIDI channel. We can also choose the number of octaves for this instrument, the number of functions available on each button or controller, and the randomisation feature.
When we are happy with our melody, we can start recording the MIDI data. We can record from as many MIDI devices as we want. Once we have finished recording, we can record into the currently opened MIDI file.
When recording, we have a nice visual representation of the note we are currently playing. We can also see the note or controller we are currently on. This will help us when it comes to arranging the song. We can also record to multiple MIDI devices simultaneously.
When we are done recording the MIDI data, we can place it wherever we want in our track. We can also assign it to a function, controller or pedal. We can find out where it is located in the file by simply using the mouse, and this allows us to easily transpose the voice. We also have a midi event which adds a key signature to our voice.
Worlde Panda is very flexible, but I also find it very prone to glitch and crash. It also takes a bit of a long time to get used to. For me, playing a little piano on a synth and creating a cool song is more important than if the synth has a few glitches now and then. This doesnt mean that you should stop using it though. Because its so inexpensive, and because it can create unique sounds that no other midi software can, its still a worthwhile purchase.
