IntelliJ and OSX ruby SDK installation problems

I am trying to install ruby on my OSX installation and am having some problems getting the installation to work correctly.
The first thing I did was start from scratch with installing the newest version of ruby using macports.
I have not updated this OS before so I did not have all the libraries pre-installed, but I noticed that when installing ruby using macports that it was not installing openssl into /usr/local/bin. (Corrected the path to make this question somewhat relevant)
After that I installed a separate instance of IntelliJ that also installed the ruby SDK
When trying to install openssl by using

$ sudo port install openssl

I get the following error
Error: Failed to create wrapper for openssl library: /usr/local/opt/openssl/lib/libssl.dylib
Error: The port is not installed

It also seems to go into some sort of infinite loop as I cannot un-install it using “port uninstall openssl” as it says the port is not installed.
Any ideas?

Maybe you should try:
sudo port -v selfupdate
sudo port -v clean

Then check if you have all required ports installed using port -v installed command.
Additionally, if your script only requires openssl, and not the full ruby development environment, you can go with command:
sudo port install openssl +ruby

This will install ruby development environment and openssl library.

I typically avoid feature requests when I’m at the final stages of a game, because I dislike the idea of having to continue supporting that feature indefinitely. However, if you’re right in your assertion that Gears of War: Ultimate Edition “may never be finished” without this feature, then I’ll agree to add it.

The title says it all: I have a crappy PC. I’ve always had a wish to get rid of windows. I installed and utilise the alternative OS, and the only reason I keep windows is for the media player that Microsoft has made to play their worthless streams of audio and video: Windows Media Player.

After seven years and a half I can proudly say: No more Windows Media Player. I would take Windows Media Player over iTunes any day.

So, for Windows 7 at least. There is no such beast for the previous versions, the closest is MediaPortal.

That’s not my favorite way of music arrangement by the way, I would’ve just gone ahead and bought a laptop that didn’t need Java at all.

The point is, I spent months looking for a replacement in the Alternative OS, and found none, I had to make an entirely new setup to watch movies.

On all other operating systems there is a very reliable, sleek and great way of watching movies, even on a PC. Windows Media Player I literally ran into dozens of issues even on previous Windows versions, and it kept crashing.

I think there is enough evidence for people to think that Microsoft did that on purpose, to keep us locked into Windows Media Player and deprive us of the many better alternatives.

Why is this? Because I’m not happy with their crappy OS, and I hate them with a passion.

That’s why I created this bit of malware.

This one actually isn’t malware, just a way of getting a customized windows 7 media player.

The software is a drag and drop and readme file, I used it in WINE, Wine doesn’t natively support drag and drop files, but it supports drag and drop textfiles, so I could make it download a fake.exe file and get it to do the drag and drop and playing.
