But, until the user manually selects the video mode or the still image mode, no image has been captured by the camera.
There is a need for a system and method for image capture that overcomes the deficiencies of the prior art. More particularly, there is a need for a system and method for image capture that enables a user to capture a still image using a camera that is manually operated to perform the functions of a still image mode while a video camera is used to capture video information for later display on a display device.

The recent study published by [@bb0015] is a relevant and important addition to the literature. And is to be commended for their effort to produce an “*in silico*” validation of a “*theoretical*” hypothesis explaining the precise mechanism of an observed association. However, in my opinion, their “*in silico*” validation only validated the “*theoretical*” hypothesis and not the predicted “*in silico*” phenotype itself.
The modified mathematical model, involving a “*single gene knockout*” ([@bb0015]), posited a consequential decrease in the availability of protein A in the female pelvis following the disruption of *FBN1* expression. Based on the “*single gene knockout*”, [@bb0015] predicted that an individual with a *FBN1* mutation would be at an increased risk of pain. They further predicted that “*FBN1* variation produces varying degrees of pelvic pain, leading to recurrent stress fractures in children” ([@bb0015]). The authors claimed that this model would form the basis of further studies to determine if *FBN1* variation was actually associated with increased likelihood of pelvic pain or recurrent stress fractures.
As stated previously, [@bb0015] employed a conceptual modelling approach to derive this “*in silico*” phenotype which in reality had no true physiological validation.
In this study, despite the logical assumption of a lower female pelvic strength in the absence of fibrinogen, no functional genetic validation of this predicted phenotype of pelvic pain was established. It was not demonstrated that there was a lack of protease activity following a *FBN1* mutation, which could feasibly be the cause of pelvic pain or the skeletal pain. There was also no functional genetic validation of the hypothesized increased fracture risk in the absence of fibrinogen, which would have been predicted by a decrease in pelvic strength.
