Hi Sreenita, thank you for your comment and for the great feedback on this review. With the new Smart Previews feature you noticed, Smart Previews filter images automatically. The only time this is time consuming is when they are analyzing images in Edit > Develop Mode, as I understand it this only slows performance in the “Developer Mode” and does not make performance any slower during Edit and Importing operations. This may be more noticeable on a computer with a large catalog of images, with multiple libraries and multiple cameras loaded.
I mean, yeah, maybe dust may be clouding one of the mirrors but Photoshop is a bit old and I think somebody needs to improve it, specially if it is for people who actually pay money for it. And I bet millions of people do.
Yes, I know I can export my project to a PSD file, but I’d rather keep it inside Photoshop.
Complaints aside, I think there’s a need to improve some features on Photoshop because it is really slow.
I have a large number of images (around 60000) and opening a single project takes over 30 seconds, and that never changes.
