Free Download Vag-com 409.1 Software
I purchased this VAGCOM 409.1 version after reading the reviews and I think it’s well built and works great. It’s only downside is that the included software has no ini file for changing settings such as time and vehicle info and I’m pretty sure the engine tachometer is not included. If you’re looking for the best value for money you might want to order from VAGCOM directly and it comes with the TORQUE and COUPE package that includes the software bundle.
I got the Pro version of the VAGCOM 409.1. It works fine. I only had to have the calibration settings changed on one of the instrumentation gauges. I got a discount through VAGCOM by using my PC Printer and having a “print at home” setup. The VAGCOM works so well I might have to buy it, just for the programming function. I have been using the VAGCOM on my 2002 Honda for 14 years. The NCR software for the VAGCOM works fine. In my opinion the best priced OBDII program for learning VAGCOM. I have many of the tools available. The tools like VROM, VITEK, and VCCA are all included in the VAGCOM.
After installing this VAGCOM, I have realised that the VAGCOM has the capability of scanning a great variety of different vehicles. In my case, it supports my 2009 VAG with the factory CAN Bus (OBD) port. And it also supports my 2011 Ferrari F430. For the programming of the VAGCOM, please read the instruction manual carefully, it is very clear. I’ve got the 2.5.1 software included and the file. For the programming of the OBD port on the VAGCOM, just follow the step by step instructions that are included. I’ve programmed the VAGCOM with the latest version on August 2017. I also followed the instructions on this link to check whether the CAN port is supported or not
If the scan shows the hood is open and the hood latch is locked, you may be able to check the hood latch from the vehicle. Move the hood latch up and down to see if it is free to move. Once you have confirmed that the hood latch is locked, you may need to remove the hood latch from the vehicle and re-install it.
Just updated the app using the version number of 1.41. Its not really that big of a deal. You dont have to wait for software updates. The review software is great. It will tell you what the problem is with your vcds 18. Its a pain to wait to get a job done when you are on your way to work.
I bought this about 4 months ago. I have been a long time VW owner having owned all kinds of VWs and this is by far the best one I have ever owned. I can connect it to any plug almost anywhere in my house and it does what it needs to. The download software is very easy to use and the videos on their Youtube are very helpful. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good OBD software and it is cheap enough to just give it a try if you feel the need to.
Many diagnostic scanners are much better than the software they come with! I can tell you that I bought a Jeep Cherokee on warranty. The local dealership did their own diagnosis and told me I needed a new engine. They told me I didn’t need a new engine, they just needed a new computer to add to my vehicle. I asked them why they didn’t fix my Jeep the first time, then they told me that the dealership I bought the Jeep from didn’t do the work they were supposed to do, and that for about 6 months they just stuck the computer and the dealer didn’t fix my Jeep. In the end I got a good price on a good starter Jeep for some reason, but wasn’t too happy about the whole thing.
