i’ve been using the midi translator 172 for a few years now and have never had a problem. i use a yamaha um1+ on the one channel input to control my 2nd channel instruments. midi translator has been a great utility and kept my workflow organized.

i’m trying to achieve the same thing – to control a daw midi channel with a midi controller.
the process seems to be much more complex than it seems. i’ve been working with it for the past two days and i still can’t figure it out. i have a midi fighter midi, a keyboard and a midi controller. i also have a pd and an external clock. i connected everything so that they all work together. i’m using the lense to control a daw. i can use the controller to change midi channels, but the voice is not playing. i can open a synth, connect it to the controller and it will play through the voice. however, i cannot change any knobs. i can get the buttons to work, but the knobs do not respond.

for an example, i press the channel 1 on the midi controller and the midi channel is working on my hard drive.
but if i want to change the midi channel, it will not work on the hard drive.
any suggestions?
