the islamic ideology of mr. ghamidi represents a well balanced view of how the muslims should interpret the quranic text. the scholarship of mr. ghamidi is one of the pillars of the ummah. if everyone were to study mr. ghamidis tafseer, the world would be a much better place.

the pakistani cleric khawaja saifuddin a.f. khan says that religion has become a weapon of war against each other. islam is not a religion of war, he argues. for us to become atheists is to go against the very basis of the religion. to become atheist is a sin because atheism is the greatest form of disbelief. atheists were created by god to test humans. there are people in the world who have benefited from the scientific advancements. an atheist is born on the day the sun is created, so it is not possible to fool him.

in short, he does not consider non-muslims as disbelievers because he is troubled by non-muslims. and since he does not consider the non-muslims as disbelievers, he does not consider that the non-muslims should be killed without the nikaah.

in addition to that, if i may give an example, the hanbalis have always refuted malik on inconsistent interpretation of the hadith. i could not find any scholar that refute the second criticism you have thrown out against ghamidi. unlike you, many scholars such as ahmad kissa, ibn abi sulayman kiki, and maulana aziz jalal insist that we should abide by the opinion of reliable authorities. so do the shafis. even qasim nanotwi says ‘2:6) from kisa seems to corroborate with those whom mawdudi calls “kafirs, apostates, infidels and ignoramuses” (page 24).

so why should he throw away the valid ahadith. according to the seperation of aqeedah,the ahadith follow an 8 year course, most of them were collected within the last half of the eighth century and before the death of the prophet (pbuh). however some of them have been collected after the demise of the prophet (pbuh) in the course of the ninth decade, the compilation of al malik bin sahib al-aqiq and the nephew of the prophet (pbuh) was made by the order of the caliph umar bin al khattab. al malik al-aqiq was born in 738 ah/1338 ce and the compilation took place in 791ah/1391 ce. ibn battuta, the famous traveler was born 769 ah/1369 ce and his travel took place between 1325 and 1354 ce. so according to the seperation of hadith in time mr.ghamidi is supposed to take his study from the eighth century onwards, there he will find authentic hadith from the 8th century because according to his understanding bukhari was the first one to compile hadith. this is another mess. al malik bin sahib al-aqiq only compiled from the 1st generation of hadith to 8th generation of hadith, so according to his study iskandar nawi, imam ahmad bin hanbal only compiled from 8th century onwards. is this enough to say that al malik bin sahib al-aqiq is authentic? furthermore many of the hadith compiled by al malik bin sahib al-aqiq, was compiled from abidine, as most of the tribes of arabia lost their written records at the hands of the arabs, many tribes in arabian peninsula are still not able to write. many of the hadith of abidine are highly doubtful, how can anyone claim some of them to be true. so by the seperation of the generation of hadith these hadiths become very doubtful. i will not bother to mention what hadith which are collected from later generations and has very little value. even a common sense will tell us that to go from 8th century to 15th century by the seperation of the generation of hadith is not possible.
