## Photoshop Elements
The _Adobe Photoshop Elements_ program is a close cousin to Photoshop that provides many of the same editing features but without the extensive use of layers, which are not available in Elements. Figure 4-20 shows an example of an image created in Photoshop Elements.
The lack of layers limits the number of edits that can be done, although you can add more effects by using _layers,_ which are discussed in the upcoming section, “Artistic and Creative Editing: Layers.”

Many of the same tips, suggestions, and tutorials for Photoshop are available for Elements as well, and you can read up more on them in “Tips for Taking Great Digital Photos” later in this chapter.
## GIMP
The _Gimp_, or GNU Image Manipulation Program, is an open source clone of Photoshop. It is available for a variety of platforms including Windows, Linux, and Mac OS. Figure 4-21 shows an example of an image created with GIMP.

GIMP is a highly configurable graphics editing program that enables users to edit raster images such as photographs. It is a one-of-a-kind application as compared to Photoshop. It works much more like a paint program, with a simple interface that is easy to learn.
GIMP is a program that uses layers to help organize image editing. These layers can be easily changed and rearranged. Layers are discussed in the upcoming section, “Artistic and Creative Editing: Layers.”

The best way to describe Photoshop Elements is that it is a photo editor with a lot of features that a beginner can use. There are no advanced tools, so you won’t get anything like Photoshop’s multi-exposure and spot healing tools.

What does it have and how does it work?

The interface is fairly simple, but you don’t need any previous Photoshop knowledge to use it. You simply point and click or drag and drop images, adjust their color and exposure, and save them.
Like many photo editing programs, Elements is not actually a video editor. You cannot create videos with it. You can, however, edit photos to produce editable files that you can use in your video editor.
Although you don’t have advanced tools in Elements, you can do many things with the program that you would be able to do with professional tools. You can crop, resize, adjust, merge, sharpen, or apply a ton of effects like blur, lighten, sharpen, and more.
The program comes with a library of over 600 presets that you can use for your photos. You can apply a filter to your image, adjust exposure, and add or edit any of the Elements’ editing features.
Some people would say that Elements is more like a basic version of Photoshop. It’s more similar to Photoshop’s Lightroom than it is to Photoshop’s raw photo editing tools.
In fact, you can open images that you would like to edit and automatically switch to Lightroom to edit them. If you want to manually edit them, you can download an editable raw file from Lightroom and open it in Photoshop Elements.

I think the following overview gives you a good idea:
GPO – Controls user and computer settings using Group Policy. GPO
settings are stored in an Active Directory (AD) domain and can
propagate to computers in other domains.
LSCE – Local Security Policy Editor is a graphical user interface for
Windows security settings that affect a single user or computer. The
settings can be saved to a local location on the hard drive so they
can be applied to any computer on which the user logs in. Local
settings are applied automatically and without requiring the user to
log on.
In a nutshell, my take is that the difference between LSCE and GPO is more subjective, i.e. it may be down to your preferred method of working with security or the tool you’re more accustomed to.
This one is a little bit different from my other creations. I have already thought of 3 ideas on how to reinvent the Lego minifigure, but none of them even came close to what I have created here.

The only mistake with the one I have created here is that I didn’t take the time to get the lighting right. The blue ones are the light because everything was in a dimm lighting. The are not any “dangling lights” in the back of it or anything.
Other than that, I really like it. The leg is quite lifelike and the face looks, pretty good.

If there’s one thing that people are known for in season two of “A Quiet Place,” it’s losing their ears.
According to the official synopsis for the horror-thriller sequel, world-starving monsters are intent on killing all humans. And so humans can’t talk to each other, to build shelters, to drive cars, or to communicate any other way, other than to pray. If they have their ears, they can still hear their fellow humans, which is something that makes them even more suspicious.
Each ear is going to start glowing differently, with a corresponding color.
But if you lose your ear, it’ll have an effect on your character.
A Quiet Place 2: The Game 2, with the tagline “Can you still survive the end of the world?” was announced on Tuesday by the studio, Paramount Pictures, and developers The Chinese Room, at Sony’s E3 conference in Los Angeles. It was also revealed in the teaser trailer that the upcoming sci-fi action horror game will be the first in a new series of three.
