i mean, come on, it couldnt be more obviously a case of theres just too much stuff in the car and theres no way they could fix it, so they just rolled it away. nicks not caring isnt exactly an especially compelling or believable scenario, and its not even consistent from episode to episode. its also just really weird, and the way it was done also kind of sets up for some later episodes that come close to feeling like the show has completely lost its mind. well, its not really that bad but its not good either.
i think its a fair point to say that the show has gotten a little weird at times. its not as good as some of the early episodes in the series, such as the first six or so, but there are some pretty great episodes this season. it did kind of feel like the show was getting a little away from its core, as evidenced by the fact that later seasons have become even more about rick and morty trying to stay in control of themselves.
this couldve been a cool episode with a nice complex plot with some surprises. but its not cool. its a bad episode with a bunch of shitty ideas and a bunch of half-assed attempts to make it feel like its connected to the season 6 episode. i know i must sound like a dick in this review, but i mean no offence. the jokes are still funny. its just that every time i get excited for an episode, it has to end up being something i havent been expecting. maybe i should just stop reading what its saying and just watch the episode in the future instead.
that said, i think its the last youll see of the season 6 characters for a while. from what it sounds like, rick is going to be gone for a few episodes to try and deal with his broken heart. i’m sure the writers will have some shit about morty finding it but for some reason, i don’t think this is a good time for rick to leave.
