pujol lived some time in the united states of america. he arrived there in 1908, and he taught and gave concerts there. at this moment, he met ervin polgar (1879-1955) who began teaching him the archaic guitar. also eduard abate, a hungarian master in the guitar, and other artists. he settled there until 1931
what is ultimately achieved in this book is the search for internal coherence and, at the same time, a consistency with this values and the introduction of the main principles of the guitar. the approach changes from treatment (verbal and intuitive) to one based on instruction. the method is the same, but it is put in a wider and more complete form in view of the practical application of the theory. as such, it was the first book in guitar theory and practice that was suitable for the electronic printing press. it was one of the first book-length works devoted to the guitar. the sketch of the plan and some of the aspects are changed. it will be the fifth volume of the original.
