steps to reset the waste ink counter value to 0
step 1: remove the print head cap and the following items by unscrewing all the 6 screws. this will allow you to access the waste ink pad assembly.
step 2: remove the 6 screws(remove the top cover of the waste ink pad assembly) from the waste ink pad assembly and remove the waste ink pad. make sure that the assembly is removed all the way from the bottom so that you have sufficient space to attach the waste ink pad assembly to the waste ink pad storage box. dispose of the waste ink pad when it is removed from the printer.
